Have you still got the headache etc or did it go after getting off the pred? If so, has polymyalgia rheumatica/giant cell arteritis been considered? You can have them and RA. Just a thought.Eileenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02684985554953836607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7112615416297186103.post-62993951284483688752013-07-07T09:08:53.911-06:002013-07-07T09:08:53.911-06:00I developed RA about 1 1/2 yrs. now and have been ...I developed RA about 1 1/2 yrs. now and have been on Enbrel now just over 3 mos. and now have
a lot of pain in my right rib and headaches. I don't want to discourage but just sharing my experience with it. I was on Humira for a couple months but new insurance co. said I had to switch to Enbrel. So not sure whether to try Humira again or Simponi. I'm reading "The McDougall Program 12 days to dynamic health" book.I found it on youtube. He says this change in diet and lifestyle will help alot with RA.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7112615416297186103.post-41730014413616095042013-06-14T22:35:31.782-06:002013-06-14T22:35:31.782-06:00Hello!

I share your love of biology as I have a degree in it and taught science for a while. I write a blog about RA and regularly incorporate scientific related posts. http://livingwithra.wordpress.com/

I'll add your blog to my blogroll.
AndrewAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7112615416297186103.post-38215045919370452032012-12-03T07:44:08.332-07:002012-12-03T07:44:08.332-07:00I haven't heard of that med, I will look into ...I haven't heard of that med, I will look into it in case the Cymbalta bombs! I was always a control freak before and putting together the map made me feel useful and in control again! I didn't realize how much emotion was riding on it until afterwards.

But I'm already starting to get over it, so I know I'm regaining some emotional elasticity already :) Kryssiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10069374621545537887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7112615416297186103.post-58497487651461075322012-10-16T13:44:50.724-06:002012-10-16T13:44:50.724-06:00I don't think anyone is angry with you, but i ...I don't think anyone is angry with you, but i totally understand the way you feel. I think its really common for those of us who have basically lost all illusion of control of our lives. I learned a long time ago I never really HAD control, but that doesn't mean I don't frequently grieve, tantrum or withdraw. I just know that it too, will pass, and life will go on, with some good days, some not so good. I hope you feel better and hit a high note soon!peteyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04842363901612535790noreply@blogger.com
